From the Opera House we wandered over to the other side of the Circular Quay
We then walked above the Quay into the Government House Grounds
After a brief snack and beer on the deck of the Quay we headed back to the condo to pick up the computer and headed into the Café to download yesterday’s blog, and reserve a couple of night’s accommodation and car rental in New Zealand.
Tomorrow should be an interesting day.
I should let you know a bit about out condo. It is on the third floor of a rather old building in an area that is located with 3 km of the down town area. The train station is less than a km away. It is a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen-living room area
and a bedroom-study area.
(Unfortunately the study area doesn’t have a plug in, so I end up working on the computer in the living room.) We get lots of exercise running up and down the stairs. The area seems to be frequented by a few young families, but mainly by young people. I would guess that the homes were built in the 40’s or perhaps even before. Some are quite run down while others look fabulous. The red light area is just a few blocks away, so there is a fair amount of traffic in the area, but our street is pretty quiet. There are lots of wonderful restaurant and coffee shops within a block or two of our place - it is a very interesting neighbourhood.
