Tuesday May 20th - Safe Arrival

Yesterday, after arriving from our various locations in Canada we were happy to see Elaine, Sallie, Aaron and Muriel who had spent the last week touring England. After a very long walk through Heathrow and brief flight we finally arrived in Dublin. Olga and Rolf met us as we went through customs, and it was good to meet our Guide Erica Dalton, and our driver George and to be together as a group at last.
As we flew into Dublin we could see the many green fields—of many different shapes and sizes, each surrounded by its own hedge. We could really see the many shades of green that make up this delightful land.
There was a change of schedule as we were all pretty tired. Rather than make our way to Malahide for a tour, Erica suggested we go directly to the hotel to get some much needed rest. The Malahide will wait until today.
For the shoppers among us, we were reminded that some shopping areas will give us an immediate refund of the VAT, and as this can range from 10% to 25% shopping at the right stores can save a fair bit of money.
Both the lamb and the salmon were wonderful entrees, and the fresh strawberry dessert was fabulous! And then we all turned in for some much needed sleep
